What I really was referring to was that Romm...Gosia<br />What I really was referring to was that Rommel was in one of your photos in the video.<br />I believe more people would know of Rommel than they know of Polish history.<br />He treated all POW's with dignity and respect. We had the opportunity to visit many places that were occupied by the Germans in Poland. We spent some time in Warsaw. The Germans took so many films of their conquests. Amazing the restoration. This video has been around since WW2 - ev...Hi Gosia<br />This video has been around since WW2 - even used in documentaries of the period<br />and snippets in WW2 war movies.<br />I wonder how many persons will notice a certain Major-General standing<br />observing the advance next to Hitler - his name is Erwin Johannes Rommel.<br />At that stage he was in charge of Hitler's military train on behalf of the German<br />Wehrmacht.<br />After this campaign he was given after requesting his own Panzar Division,<br />the 7th, for the invasion of France and the Low Countries right through to<br />Cherbourg.<br />Incredible to imagine Polish cavalry taking on tanks.<br />Good history lesson for viewers.<br />Cheers<br />Colin<br />PS: Raining here - hope Poland also is getting a drenching from above?
