Welcome October

30th October

Tomorrow is the first day of October so it means in Europe students start their studies. I remember very well my first day in University. It was sunny day. It is hard to believe but next  October my daughter is going to be a medical student.

One day you are young the second one you are old now I totally agree with my grandma's saying.

Roman Catholic - Church in Dobrzechow in Poland

This is a church  where my cousin's Karren ( who visited me two weeks ago - now she lives in California) grandma was baptised and got First Communion.  In her teens she decided to emigrate to USA.

This church was built in 1854.

what is interesting the first church was built here in 1277.

The old headstone

This is a headstone which belongs the the father who baptised Karren's grandfather. Amazing that it has survived for a long time. (Read. the previous post,  the history continues).

Crazy days

24th September 2107

Last week was so busy distant cousins from Los Angeles. Karren's grandfather and my were brothers. We have met for the first time. It was a great visit full of joy and laughter but her husband Earle caught a virus  while they were visiting Paris. So when they landed in Cracow it turned oud he is ill with a fever. It was not nice situation in the foreign country.

Later my daughter caught a virus but this weekend me because I have had an earacghe I have to take an antibiotics. Crazy world.

Here in a small wooden church where  Karren's grandfather was baptized. The church is located in the south east of Poland. As a teenager he left Poland and went to USA.

The church was built from pine wooden logs and now it is not in service. It is in on the National Heritage List.

The first day of autumn

What a bad weather it is raining cats and dogs,  And what is more it is a danger of flooding. Weather forecast is not friendly. I have caught a virus so I had to take antibiotics and must stay at home. Luckily it is weekend so great opportunity to cure. I am waiting for better Monday.

It was a very busy time with my cousins from California. What is more Earle have caught virus in Paris and had to stay in bed.
