To slightly correct EC above, some children participate in Halloween activities and there are theme nights at bars, but sadly we don't carve pumpkins. They would be out of season here.
Well, Halloween is big here but I don't like it at all. In our last community people would drive their kids in to walk the neighborhood and collect candy. It's gotten out of hand and I wish we could get rid of it. It's a useless holiday that make a mockery of it's origins - All Hallows Eve. :)
We don't celebrate here. I am always impressed at the creativity of those who do.

ReplyDeleteWas in a shopping center yesterday popular with Americans and British. Halloween was everywhere!
