I love wooden houses but they are mostly abandoned..

10th February 2015

Nowadays houses at my vacation place are built from concrete and brick. Only some of them are built of wooden logs because these models are the most expensive now. In the past people built houses from wood. At that time wood was more accessible and in fashion. Wooden house was hot enough in the winter and in the summer was cool.
Walking my dog I took some photos of wooden houses which in my opinion are very interesting. Now they are abandoned because their owners have built more modern properties or simply died many years ago. Some houses are on the sale and their price is friendly but not too low.

It dates back from 19th century ..
It was built at the beginning of 20th century

This house is on sale... Maybe you want to buy it... It needs renovation but in a good shape... Some people from big cities buy them as their vacation place...

  7. Gosia, looks like a great buy for a vacation home. I like to visit new places, so choose not to have a permanent vacation home. Concrete houses are sometimes damp and cold, like the old castles.
