Cradle of freedom and Solidarnosc is my destination on Monday

3rd August 2015

Tomorrow in the morning we start the longest journey from the south - east to north of Poland. It is going to be a long and tiring day. We are going to stay in Gdansk a cradle of freedom..

  2. Very interesting region to visit, Gosia.
    Gdansk has certainly a checkered history - once was
    Danzig.
    Also the home of Lech Walesa, the leader of the fight for
    Polish freedom from the Soviet influence.
    I look forward to your photos and thoughts on this city.

    I only follow 4 Australian ones, one UK blog on history (excellent) and
    3 USA ones. I hope you read the Margaret travel blog VERY carefully,
    Margaret is doing an excellent job of showing her present long travel
    of the north and west of our very large country - Europe can fit inside Australia!!!
