I have been to Auschwitz twice that enough...
Poland was heavily affected by the Nazi occupation, over 90 per cent of the country's Jewish population was murdered, and millions of European Jews were killed in Nazi-run concentration camps located in Poland.
My father was a German Jew. We suspect his father was sent to one of the camps. My father could never, would never talk about it.
ReplyDeleteEC I understand him it was terrible time
DeleteMy grandfather got out of Warsaw before WWI. He got his sister out during the war and lost the rest of his family after that. Too bad there are still people in the world who could bring back those terrible times along with that ignorance and hatred.
ReplyDeleteMitchell it caan not happen again but the world is crazy
DeleteYesterday was Hollocaust Remembrance Day...our worthless president made a comment about it but "forgot" to mention Jews or the anti-Semitism that got them there!
ReplyDeleteLowell there were a lot programes on TV about death camps
DeleteI hope we never see the likes of that again.
ReplyDeleteI believe you are right
DeleteI think perhaps Poland was more affected by the war than any other country, perhaps the greatest loss of life.
ReplyDeleteAndrew you are definitely right
DeleteDreadful times Gosia.
