Little town can be charming..

20th September 2015

I live in a big conurbation where there are a lot of possibilities but it is not quiet and the air is not clean. So love spending time in my summer house at the weekends and during holidays. Small towns are completely different. People here are very friendly and helpful here.

Our local surgery

I love autumn colours- the fence is really impressive.

Halloween is on the corner..

Local park..

Today is raining, too. Definitely autumn is coming..

Flowers near Town Hall.

Roman Catholic church which was built in the beginning of 20th century..
There is only one church here. Most people are Catholics here or don't go to any church..

Have a sunny Sunday..

  1. A blessed Sunday to you, Gosia. The local surgery looks a neat place. We are hoping for more rain to wash away the haze.

  3. Halloween - or All Hallow's Eve.
I have always associated Halloween as an American novelty - "trick and treat" business, so with your bringing it up in Poland, I went smartly to my mate Wikipedia.
Has its origins from way back in good old Celtic times, was big time in England, Belgium,'Germany, Austria and Italy from the 15th century, but Poland was the
    eye opener:
And I quote: " All Hallow's Eve (Halloween) - In Poland believers are taught to pray out loud as they walk through the forests in order that the souls of the dead might find comfort."
So thanks for the history lesson - one lesson I would never have bothered to look into.

Funny day here in Brisbane - fine and sunny start, then skittish rain showers, then fine
again, storms looked like late afternoon but I think they have disappeared over the Pacific.
Cheers and thanks for the historical birth/tradition of Halloween.

    1. Halloween is becoming more and more popular here but the Catholic Church is not satisfied with this situation. But they must accept it.

  4. Very neat-looking church! It reminds me of some of the churches in the small town in NE Iowa. I enjoyed your photos. It does look like autumn is coming to your part of the world.

  5. The church does look good.
The colours of autumn are nice also.
We really don't have Halloween here, some schools touch lightly on it though. Some States of Australia have Halloween but not like in America, as its classed in Australia as being an American thing.

  6. Lovely Fall colors. I like living in a small(ish) town within easy driving distance of a big city - almost the best of both worlds.
