  1. Hi Gosia
This video has been around since WW2 - even used in documentaries of the period
and snippets in WW2 war movies.
I wonder how many persons will notice a certain Major-General standing
observing the advance next to Hitler - his name is Erwin Johannes Rommel.
At that stage he was in charge of Hitler's military train on behalf of the German
    Wehrmacht.
After this campaign he was given after requesting his own Panzar Division,
the 7th, for the invasion of France and the Low Countries right through to
    Cherbourg.
Incredible to imagine Polish cavalry taking on tanks.
    Good history lesson for viewers.
    Cheers
    Colin
PS: Raining here - hope Poland also is getting a drenching from above?

What I really was referring to was that Rommel was in one of your photos in the video.
I believe more people would know of Rommel than they know of Polish history.
He treated all POW's with dignity and respect. See the history of the Polish brigade in North Africa.
      Cheers
      Colin

  2. A terrible and sad time in history that changed the world. It has taken your country many years to regain their freedom.

  3. Such an awful time in history for your country and others in Europe. We had the opportunity to visit many places that were occupied by the Germans in Poland. We spent some time in Warsaw. The Germans took so many films of their conquests. Amazing the restoration. Thanks for sharing this video as a reminder of the past.

  4. War is always a sad time for the nation and people. If only people can learn from history and avoid war that brings suffering and pain.
