Bytom a city in Silesia near Katowice The central-western district of the Upper Silesian - metropolis with the population of 2 million. Bytom is located in the Silesian Hioghlands, on the Bytomka river. The population of the city is 183,251.Bytom is one of the oldest cities in Silesia it was established in 1254. The city was joined to Kingdom of Prussia in 1742 and it was finally transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of Potsdam Conference.

ReplyDeleteWow. The city looks beautiful. 760 years! I was impressed when I lived in a town in Connecticut (USA) that celebrated its 350th birthday. The fountain in the market is wonderful. I'll have to start reading about your town.
