While in Katowice, it's worth visiting the market square and the surrounding area next to is a Silesian Museum in the eclectic building of the Grand Hotel of 1899. The museum holds archeological,ethnographic, photographic and non-professional exhibitions. There is also a a library in the museum, and the Centre for Polish Scene Design.
