Post office in autumn landscape

8th November 2016

It is a post office in my summer place. The building dates back from 19th century. Now people do not write a lot of letters or postcards here. Postman or postwomen deliver a lot of ads but post office is very popular with parcels because people buy many items on line.
?

What about your place? How often do you visit your post?

  1. Our post office probably makes more money from parcels too. And posting bills.
I do still post letters though. Some.

  2. Pretty building. My sister lives far away in another state so I mail her items from the post office often.

  3. The PO is a grand but restrained design. Most of our 19th century post offices are very heavily decorated Victorian architecture.

  4. I still get some letters through the post. Most of the times I visit the post office is to send or collect parcels. Sometimes once in a while when I do need to send express mail.

  5. What a grand building and beautiful weeping tree. I don't visit the local branch of my post office very often and it's nothing worthy of a photo. The main post office is a contemporary marble box that needs more space around it to have any kind of aesthetic impact.

  6. This is quite a beautiful building for a post office. We use ours frequently to mail packages.
