Palace Stawiarski in Jedlicze

9th July 2014

The weather is rainy today I can say It was raining cats and dogs.  But I was cycling between 7 and 8 p.m. Luckily it didn't rain for a while. In the evening I took photos of Stawiarski Palace in my hometown which  history inspired me so much.

Stawiarski Palace was built in 1925. Palace belonged to Stawiarski family since 1925 to 1944. In 1944 the palace was confiscated Stawiarski Family and the Communist Government became legally the owner. Now it belongs to Jedlicze town so it means is a public place for citizens.
In 1945 it was High Junior School here but since 1946 has started the first Secondary School and still exists there.

Around Stawierski Palace was and luckily there is very nice surroundings.  There is a very big park and of course a pond. In the afternoons or evenings a lot of citizens of the town spend their free time there under the old and big trees which remember sad events from the past.

Stawiarski Palace

The oak - which is very old . There are a lot of them here.

The pond located next to palace.

Park around the palace is  very big but well- maintained by town hall

I love walking here and listening to birds especially in the evenings.

  2. I can see why you love walking there. Lots of history and pretty, too. If the old oaks could speak, it would be interesting to hear their stories.

  3. I often wonder about places like this and if the families ever try to claim their houses back, or want compensation. The park is great for the public and how nice are the hydrangeas.
