Finally at summer house.

1st August 2014

We finally got our summer home in the afternoon. It took us 2 weeks to visit tricity ( Gdansk Sopot and Gdynia) at the seaside. One week we have spent at my cousin near Torun. We have driven over 2200 km by our car luckily we have AC so the journey was very comfortable. The weather was perfect sunny and very hot abou 35C degrees every day.
Now we have only nice memories from our summer vacation and and 723 photos which I have taken in different places in the north of Poland. It was nice experience for my daughter because she was at the Polsh seaside only once before when she was 10. She prefers hotter places like Hungarian lakes so we went there every year but this year was exceptional and for the first time she has met my cousin Teresa who is 60 and her nice family. We have had great time there and we are planning to visit this part of Poland next year but my daughter is dreaming about Italy so who knows - it is future?
Now it is high time to clean the house and take care of garden so a lot of projects for the weekend.

I love all tricities but my favourite is Gdansk.

Gdańsk is situated at the mouth of the Motława River, connected to the Leniwka, a branch in the delta of the nearby Vistula River, whose waterway system supplies 60% of the area of Poland and connects Gdańsk to the national capital in Warsaw. This gives the city a unique advantage as the centre of Poland's sea trade. Together with the nearby port of Gdynia, Gdańsk is also an important industrial centre. Historically an important seaport and shipbuilding centre, Gdańsk was a member of the Hanseatic League.

Great idea to take a ride.

It is cheaper way to sightseeing but tiring.

  3. Not a cloud in the sky in any photo. 35 degrees is hot but as it is not warm for very long, people must enjoy the weather.

    1. Andrew, this summer in the North of Poland the weather is perfect since 1st July to the end it was sunny and so hot. In the South where I live ( summer houise and permanent house) the weather is completely different it is hot too but every day in the afternoon is a heavy storm or downpour.
