The old fire fighter's car
1st March 2015
Last summer in the Architecture Museum in Sanok we saw the old fire fighter's car which was produced in 1950. At that time Poland was under communists rules. It was not easy time and the vehicle weren't good quality.
The truck looks quite Russian. It has what we call suicide doors, that open at the front. It was very easy to open them without seeing another car coming and bang! At least the truck has lasted.
it seems to have help up fairly well. For a 1950's model truck I would have expected more dulling and/or flaking of the paint. Looks like it has been painted which leads one to think that the truck is still used.
