Cambridge in Great Britain

18th December 2014

I visited Cambridge in 2012 . In my opinion it is a lovely, small town where it is located one of the oldest University of Europe.
It is typically English property... in Cambridge

Location of the University is perfect..

The city of Cambridge is a university city and the county town of Cambridgeshire, England. It lies in East Anglia, on the River Cam, about 50 miles (80 km) north of London. According to the United Kingdom Census 2011, its population was 123,867 (including 24,488 students). This makes Cambridge the second largest city in Cambridgeshire after Peterborough, and the 54th largest in the United Kingdom. There is archaeological evidence of settlement in the area during the Bronze Ageand Roman times; under Viking rule Cambridge became an important trading centre.

The official founding of Cambridge University is traced to the enhancement, by a charter in 1231 from King Henry III of England (the first English university to be granted one; Oxford followed in 1248), which awarded the ius non-trahi extra (a right to discipline its own members) plus some exemption from taxes, and a bull in 1233 from Pope Gregory IX that gave graduates from Cambridge the right to teach "everywhere in Christendom"

  1. Many of the Cambridge students will go on to be society leaders in many fields. Many of the Cambridge students will go on to make decisions that will affect people around the world. I hope Cambridge teaches students kindness.

    1. Andrew, you are right. It is the most prestigious university in Europe. And Polish students can study here for free because we belong to European Union so it is a great oppertunity.
