London

15th January 2015

London - I love this busy city and I am going to visit it in June. It is a great opportunity. I believe the weather is going to be sunny for walking and doing shopping.

 Big Ben
The Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey, formally titled the Collegiate Church of St Peter at Westminster, is a large, mainly Gothic church in the City of Westminster, London, located just to the west of the Palace of Westminster. It is one of the most notable religious buildings in the United Kingdom and has been the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English and, later, British monarchs. The abbey is a Royal Peculiar and between 1540 and 1556 had the status of a cathedral; the building is no longer an abbey nor cathedral however, having instead the status since 1560 of a "Royal Peculiar" – a church responsible directly to the Sovereign.

 In the background London Eye.

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. Also known as the Millennium Wheel, its official name was originally published as the British Airways London Eye, then the Merlin Entertainments London Eye, then the EDF Energy London Eye (between January 2011 and August 2014) and is currently called the London Eye. From late January 2015, the London Eye will be sponsored by Coca-Cola

Big Ben is the nickname of a bell that rings in the clock tower at the northern end of the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, LondonEngland.Officially, the tower itself is called Elizabeth Tower. It was previously called Clock Tower, but was renamed in September 2012 as a tribute to theDiamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.However, most people, including those that live in London, call the tower "Big Ben", because it is very large. It weighs 13 tons.
Big Ben is the second bell in the tower. The first was damaged in 1856, due to a miscalculation.Big Ben is the biggest four-faced, chiming clock in the world.
It was built by Sir Adam Jonas from Norfolk, England in 1858 by his team of architects and builders.

In my opinion they are the best known landmarks in London and I love them ...
