Industrial part of my liitle town

12th February 2015

My summer place is an area where the nature is great and fresh air. But there is also an industrial part because people must earn money to live here. So there is the oil refinery here so I think the air is not as clean as it advertised...


 The oil refinery is surrounded by fence. The fence as you can see doesn't look so nice and friendly. It was built many years ago and definitely needs renovation ...

 The oil refinery was built in 1899-1902.. And it still works...

    Yes, I would think having an oil refinery nearby your home is not good.. But, you are right, people do need places to work.. Great fence shots, enjoy your day!

    For an industrial fence it does look pretty :)
    Having a place to work is fine. I just think
    that people shouldn't be living that close to
    a somehow dangerous plant.

    The fence is doing amazingly well given how old it is! Oil refineries are necessary. None of us want to live next to one but we all want to use the product. :))

    That is a long time to be in operation, and I think you may be right about the air quality, especially if they have not stayed up to date with technology. Maybe they could paint the fence at least to bright it up a bit?

    Wow that is a pretty old fence and refinery. It was interesting to view, the way the post curved at the top was unique. I don't suppose it's the greatest thing to have in your town but you are right about people having to make a living.
