The museum in the charming setting

8th May 2016
Museum is located in the south - east of Poland. It sits near the river. It commemorates famous Polish poet Maria Konopnicka. She wrote mainly for children in the 19th century. She lived in this wooden house. It was a gift from Polish nation.

Now is a museum where you can see some items which have belonged to  her.

The house is surrounded by a large park.

Most trees are over 100 .

Park is a popular place with local residents and tourists.

Newly weds love taking photos here..

In spring the leaves are very juicy and green.

Have a peaceful and sunny weekend..

  1. Interesting. What a great house! I've read she was a woman who had respect for, and appreciation of the Jewish people. Love your tree photos! (and thanks for your comment on my blog today)

of Maria Konopnicka to now be a museum in her honour.
Happy Mother's day - I am presuming that like here and other countries that Sunday 8th is Mother's day in Poland.
