The oak which is connected with my family roots.

3rd May 2016

This oak is 310 years old. It is very important for my family genealogy because my ancestors had their house and land here. The tree was located about 300 metres from it. The oak is the only witness of their life. Probably one of my ancestors planted it because at that times only two families lived there. Both were related.

I took the photo today in the morning. Unfortunately the oak is not in a good shape. I am afraid that one day the strong wind or storm will fall it.

I will take photo of it in the summer.

  3. The Oak doesn't look at all healthy
and saving it I suspect will be an impossibility.
Sad but 310 years - I'd give anything to learn what
this OAK has seen over that time.

  4. Fascinating to consider what that oak has lived through.

  5. Now nice to have a physical link to your roots. I hope that tree survives for many more years.
