Charming house among the grove of trees

25th July 2015

Currently in my summer place is very hot about 35C degrees in shade so the African heat is very hard to survive. In the morning I decided to cycle with my daughter to small village Zarnowiec. Here is located a charming, old house where Maria Konopnicka - lived in the beginning of the 20th century.

Maria Konopnicka was not only a gifted poet and novelist, but she was known for her patriotic and social work. Her poetry has great inspirational and patriotic value.

The way leads to the house..

A lot of old trees aere there

The trees gave a fantastic shade..

The draught is visible.. many trees fell...

Benches were empty to hot. Usually a lot of citizens read books here..

A lovely wooden house..

The entrance

It is nice live here... But the poet didn't like it because it was too wet and cold among the grove of the trees..

In the background museum which displays things connected with poet.. ..e.g. furniture, desk and some books..

We had a great time in a lovely setting..

  6. It is a very nice setting, especially on a hot day. Not so good if it is wet. The house is very handsome.
