Hello from South East - from my summer house. The weather is getting colder and colder. It is going to snow tomorrow. Last week I was very busy so I believe today I answer for all comments.
My today post present photos of the cows which I took last summer. In the south east red cows are popular but in the north where my cousin lives black cows are common. And what about you?
Have a sunny Saturday
Thanks for visiting.
I like all color of cows. Nice pictures. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Thanks a lot
DeleteContented cows - they look like Holstein - Friesian dairy cows.
ReplyDeleteExcellent milkers - they would be found in Poland - as they are a Dutch
and Northern German breed as the name suggests.
They are mostly black and white marked, but there are the brown and white ones
also.
The cows are quite content - BUT the bulls are of a rather different disposition,
so be careful.
The countryside looks in excellent condition for grazing.
Cheers
Colin
Colin you are right. Yes I am afraid of cows and bulls. My life is city based..
DeleteYes - I come from land people - that's farming.
DeleteI do know my cattle breds - one uncle on my father's mother's side
had a dairy farm - and his dairy herd was Friesians - that is the black and white breed - Holsteins as shown above are the brown and white breed.
Some countries call both colourations either one or the other.
Colin
Thanks for information
DeleteIf it like it is in Australia, and even this is a generalisation, the brown and white will be better for beef and black and white better for milk but black and white produce volume but not a high cream content.
ReplyDeleteAs I know balck and white cows are much more popular mainly on the big farms
DeleteBlack and deep brown cows are common where I live. These coloured cows are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love white cows and reddish
DeleteHello Gosia, the cows are pretty. I love the rural scenery too. It will be colder here the next couple of days. Wonderful photos! Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI don't like winter and cold weather. But unfortunaytely I live in a cold zone
DeleteThese cows are very attractive...but I do admit I very much like all cows. ;))
ReplyDeleteCows are nice animals especially if you like milk. I like only youghurt and milk I use only to coffee
DeleteHere in Texas we see an assortment of cows. There are many who still raise the Texas longhorns, whose horns are so wide it is amazing. Angus are popular, and a special ranch in Texas has developed a new breed of a kind of cross with an Angus called a Santa Gertrudis. You can type the name into a search engine and read about them at the King Ranch. Very interesting. We also have what I call the Oreo cows, which are black with a white band around the middle. Curious looking cows.
ReplyDeleteLinda your cows in Texas are fantastic. Ther longhors are fantastic and I don't see them here in Europe
DeleteI do like the red cows but black & white Fresians are the most popular around here as they are good milking cows.
ReplyDeleteI have both on my Critters post!
The red and white ones are very pretty. I think cows have the dreamiest eyes. Kind of smelly up close, though!
ReplyDeleteSea gulls are common here.
ReplyDeleteI think black & white are most common here but I don't see many cows!
ReplyDeleteI know because you live in a big city
Deletethey look like lovely cows.....we have black ones on our farm....half Angus and half something unknown....but they are mostly black with a shade of red in the sun...
