The oldest statue in my family

8th Nov. 2015

My grandparents from paternal and maternal side were born and grew in the US. Then they were brought by my great grandparents to Poland., So far I have written about my paternal grandparents but nowadays I ma going to write about my maternal grandmother who was born in Manchester in US.
Two weeks ago I got as a family treasure the small statue of Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus.
This small statue was bought in Manchester in 1899 and then brought to Poland where survived WWI and WWII and fire of house in 1945 ...

In my opinion is a miracle.... It is made of china... and so fragile . But has survived for next generations...

Story be continue..

  6. That is amazing how long it has lasted. Your family must have taken extra-special good care of it.

  7. That's great to know. Many statues here in my country are claimed miraculous too. A great number of us here are Catholics also. I am a Catholic.

  8. Was that Manchester, New Hampshire? I think you've said before but I can't remember. So wonderful that the figurine has survived all that (and in such perfect condition)!
