Shopping in the darkness

7th November 2015

Now in November at 5p.m is completely dark in my climate zone. It is the worst season of the year which I really hate, Days are getting  shorter and shorter. Luckily  temperature is nice about 13C degrees and no frost. But I don't like darkness it is very depressing. In the afternoon we decided to drive Katowice our capital city to do clothes shopping for my teenage daughter. Katowice was crowded a lot of people were going to the cinema or pubs and restaurants. The shopping mall was full of noisy people. But the positive side is it was so colourful because Christmas is on the corner. Christmas trees are everywhere ... I am afraid that one day shopping centres are going to decorate Christmas trees in August... It is crazy.... and so early.
What about you?But business is the most important in western civilisations.

  1. Hi Gosia, Thank you for your visit. It gets dark here very early too and the nights seem long and lonely! I know your daughter enjoys shopping. The Christmas lights are sure to make things more jolly. They do decorate too early, don't they? Love, M

  4. Agree Gosia - Christmas like Easter has now been taken over by commercial
    greedy corporations.
So far here the major department stores haven't started playing Christmas
songs - but they will soon. I dunno how staff put up with it for about 6 weeks
of "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer" etc.
    Cheers

  5. I guess we are a little lucky here cause our days are probably shorter by minutes only. The lights are fun to see.
