Gdynia the city near Baltic Sea is 90 years old.

11th February 2016

I visited Gdynia last summer. It is lovely city comparing to mine. It is only 90 but location perfect and I would like to live there but I am sure it is impossible all my family life and work is based on the South.

I am DEADLY serious and I do not suffer fools - PERIOD.

Now I intend to google GDYNIA and find out all about the harbour and those ancient sailing vessels.

  2. Gosia - I think you are missing an "0" to the 90 above.
Gdynia has a history going back to the 10th Century when as Pomerella it united with the Poland of the day.
Also Gdynia has the distinction of the worst sea disaster of all times - right at the end of WW2. Worth reading about.
The maritine museum would be of great interest to visit and the port city looks like a great holiday destination for both Poles and tourists.
Thanks for showing your readers more of Poland.
    Cheers

    1. No the city was erected in 1916 but it was a small fishing village. Now it celebrates 90th anniversary
