Sunset in my place

7th February 2016

Today I was in the city and I was driving along the coal mine which was closed in 2004. Now it doesn't work and what is more our coal is much more expensive than one which we buy in Australia or China.  It was 4.15 p.m. so I noticed the beautiful sunset.
Weather is nice and no signs of winter..

The closed coal mine looks depressing and abandoned.

  1. Gosia - very interesting on this coal mining situation,
so I wikipedia-ed Poland for more details.
I was always lead to believe that coal mining was a big industry in Poland. Seems it still is in various regions.

Poland certainly in industrial terms and growth has improved rapidly since the break from Soviet controlled farms and industry. Joining the EU has sure improved the "lot" for the Polish people.
Thanks for improving my history lessons.
Hope you are enjoying your school break.
    Cheers

  3. I don't know if any homes in the US use coal in their homes anymore. Could be... but I just haven't heard of it. I guess industry does though.
