Turkey. How situations can change in 12 months. I feel really sorry for the Turks with this "refugee influx" problem, plus the outbreak of suicide bombings. Shocking for the people of Turkey and the tourist trade which is so important to the Turkish economy. And now ANZAC day memorial (25th April) Gallipoli coming up and the travel alerts etc. For young and old Aussies going to Gallipoli for the Dawn Services is now fraught with dangers. This 25th April visit has taken on a "Rite of Passage" meaning for the young Aussies and Kiwis. Colin
I think you visited at a good time. Things in Turkey have gotten much worse since you were there and you probably would not care to travel there this spring.
Turkey.
